Go where your best prayers take you

A prayer room is first and foremost a living room — a place where the Father waits for his children to come and climb into his arms.

Over the course of every year we commit to coming together as a whole church to pray. We believe pray is an important part of relationship with God.  James writes Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16). So we meet, knowing that God hears our words and hearts, and pray together for many different aspects of our Church life.

At the most recent meeting we prayed for our local area, road by road, we prayed for working, serving and voluntary roles and the challenges we face. We prayed for upcoming mission events in church and we prayed for the world and how we best pray for its care.

The church will be open from 3:00pm – 5:00pm on Maundy Thursday (April 18th) for those that would like spend time in quiet reflection and prayer. If you’re interested in joining a team of people who will be heading out into the village to pray for people in our community, please contact the Church Office.

Other prayer events which will be held over the course of the year are as follows;

WEDNESDAY 5th JUNE – Thy Kingdom Come, Prayer Evening

WEDNESDAY 4th SEPTEMBER – Prayer Evening

WEDNESDAY 6th NOVEMBER – Half Night of Prayer
